Vinyl window choices. The Harvey "Slimline" series vinyl replacement window. This window comes in "Single Hung (stationary top) and the Double Hung. This is without a doubt the #1 selling Harvey window of choice. This window Maximizes the glass area by offering a slim profile extruded frame design. All Harvey slimline windows have "Energystar" thermal glass. The thicker the frame, the more clear glass area you loose in a replacement window application, therefor "Slimline minimizes this affect which maximizes glass area. Both sash tilt in for easy exterior cleaning and include 1/2 screens that stay up or down and are non locking. They also include security ventilation latches to prevent the window from opening more than 4 inches. This window carries Harvey's standard Lifetime warranty on all vinyl and parts and 20 years on glass is standard. Colonial contoured grids between the glass are available and the window is available in White color.
All the windows on this page have Harveys "Energystar" thermal glass. Available options can increase your thermal value by adding Low E Glass" which increases the R value of your window by filtering the ultra violet rays of the sun. Double low E is available and will increase the Solar heat gain coefficient. This is great for saving on your summer cooling costs. To save on your winter heating, you need to have "ARGON gas included with the low E. This will give you a U-value--- Heat loss resistance through the glass. The combination of low E & Argon WILL give you a .30 U value. This figure as been adopted by the State of Ct. as minimum for obtaining an"ENERGY STAR" rating starting April 2010.
